Scheduled maintenance contracts can be taken out. These should be done to each item of lifting equipment at least every 12 months, but in some cases as often as every 1 month. This is determined by crane usage and the environment in which the crane operates. Official service sheets are filled in by the engineer and from that a report detailing and remedial repairs and their urgency is issued.
Our repair and maintenance department also offers the following services:
On site load testing of overhead cranes, gantries, hoists and runway systems and swing jibs in accordance with statutory requirements.

Health & Safety issues relating to lifting equipment are becoming evermore important with modern regulations such as Provision And Use Of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 are playing a critical role in how an organisation has to comply with regards to lifting equipment. In order to keep in compliance and minimise the possibility of an accident we can advise our customers on the measures that can be taken when using lifting equipment.
This may involve regular service inspection or fitting safety devices such as load limiters, anti-collision and radio systems.
Our NEBOSH qualified safety officer can also help devise both generic and job specific risk assessments and method statements tailored to suit individual customer requirements. |
