Technical Crane repair and maintenance department are having
designed a bespoke computer software package for issuing both
service sheets and all relevant test certificates and reports of
thorough examination.
The system will also store a comprehensive list of clients
lifting equipment and the service history of each item of lifting
equipment.
All the information can simply be sent by email to clients or they
will be able to access it via a safe and secure intranet site from
anywhere in the world. This of course reduces the amount of paper
and keeps information at a click of a button.
The software will be able to identify trends in repairs on a
particular item of lifting equipment which should help to solve
recurring faults or damage. Clients will also be able to easily
identify from the service reports which remedial repair work is
urgent by categorising it.
The software will be in use by the end of 2007 and fully operational
for 2008.
