Goliath Cranes
We manufacture both single girder or twin girder Goliath cranes as well as Semi-Goliath cranes. These are cranes which utilise only one side of supporting steel-work and one floor-mounted rail. These huge cranes are typically associated with outdoor applications. Examples of which are assembly areas, moving equipment around a stockyard, or loading and unloading directly onto trailers.
However, these can be used inside where the existing structure is not adequate for additional loading of steel-work or where free-standing steel-work is not possible. This can make a Goliath crane a more cost-effective option over an overhead gantry crane as it requires less expensive gantry steel-work. Another advantage of these systems rather than an overhead crane is that they are often more easily dismantled to be moved and used at a different site if needed.

About Goliath Cranes
Goliath cranes also referred to as a Portal Crane or a Gantry crane. This is a type of crane that comprises of a horizontal main bridge beam, supported by vertical legs bolted to moving bogie carriages.
The Goliath cranes that we manufacture are all custom built in our factory. We can supply cranes with spans in excess of 40 metres, with SWL of up to 200 Tonnes. You can have either single or double cantilevers at each end of the crane as required. Our workforce of highly experienced crane specialists will ensure that you get the best possible system. We aim to fully cater to your individual requirements. Goliath cranes are an extremely versatile lifting system that can be manufactured for use in numerous workplaces. They can be used for various different applications to suit your specific needs.
Additional features can include access walkways, safety wires, storm anchors, weatherproofing, wind speed monitoring and Anti-Trap safety limits.
We can also complete crane repairs and scheduled maintenance on all your cranes.
If required, we can transport cranes or components overseas. Crane testing for Loler means using test weights, which we can supply and transport to your premises.
